There is one track that is alone worth the purchase price of the album; her astonishing rendition of John Pole’s brilliant and disturbing song “Mr Fox”. He (Mr F., that is) appears to be the bastard offspring of “Reynardine” and “Little Sir Hugh of Lincoln”‘s killer – and what’s in the forbidden thirteenth bedroom? If only it were as harmless as poor mad Mrs. Rochester. Not to be listened to when there’s a full moon…
